Hepititis B Core Antibody
The Hepatitis B Core Antibody (HBcAb) test is an important diagnostic tool for identifying past or present hepatitis B infections. A positive or reactive result indicates a prior or ongoing infection, while a negative result may suggest no prior exposure. Unlike the surface antibody, the core antibody does not provide protection against the hepatitis B virus. It is important to note that the HBcAb test should be interpreted in conjunction with the results of other tests, such as the HBsAg and anti-HBs tests, for a full understanding of a patient's hepatitis B status. Our clinic offers accurate and reliable HBcAb testing to help diagnose and manage hepatitis B infections.
